Today was a rough day for my family, We came in and the owner helped us answer all of our questions and was patient with us. The funeral home itself was so pretty and comforting.

Hale-Sarver's employees' lack professionalism, have a disregard for the deceased's family, exhibit an uncooperative and argumentative attitude, and their unwillingness to communicate with the wife of a deceased husband, portray just some of the problems we ran into with this “Machiavellian” Hale-Sarver funeral home at a recent funeral service.

Can I choose no stars? What a fiasco this place is. The only thing Hale-Sarver did right was choosing what plot of land to build this funeral home on. Hale-Sarver is the only funeral home in West Milton, know that there is no where else to go, and took advantage of at least our family in their most critical moments during a loved ones' passing.

No one at Hale-Sarver was willing to inform the deceased's wife of what to do, did not offer progress reports of how things were going, did not walk the other family members through the process of what to do, charged an outrageous amount for a minute obituary that was never approved or brought to the attention of the wife, and mislead us about a great many things.

Long story concluded...Based on our experience, find another funeral home.

The deceased's wife called to express her concern with things and was confronted by a very unsympathetic and argumentative employee who did absolutely nothing to try to solve the problems she experienced nor did he express any remorse. He simply stated that “Hale-Sarver takes pride in what they do”. What a joke this place is.

We are going on 6 weeks of waiting for death certificates that were promised to us in 10 days. I guess Hale-Sarver's estimate of 10 days was 10 days after getting the funeral paid in full, another 10 days before forgotten or neglected forms are remembered, then another 10 days and counting to actually do what they were supposed to do from the beginning and get the forms to the family.

The first thing Hale-Sarver was truly concerned about was getting paid for this disappointing experience. What made matters worse was that after the funeral, the wife was never called and asked about her satisfaction with the funeral services. Another family member who lives locally was called and asked about how she thought the services were. Needless to say, this family member was not financially responsible for the services, but because she lived locally, her opinion was the only opinion Hale-Sarver was concerned with. Then, when the deceased's wife called Hale-Sarver to express her disappointment and concern, a Hale-Sarver employee called the local family member complaining to her about the conversation he had with her mother. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional! So much for confidentiality!
